- As a professional photographer, Hans de Vries has specialized in documentary and portrait photography. He is based in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. During his studies of political science at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and in his career as a small business executive, he has developed a profound interest in social issues. His field of photography can be described as 'slow journalism' and his photographs bear the marks of the need to be a witness to life and to portray it in his own critical and unavoidable manner.
